A dialogue between me and a Wind-Water teller...
Just an hour ago...
I'm sitting infront of my PC. Looking at my blog and others blog. Thinking of some cool design for my project. Listening to songs, looking at pictures for ideas. Looking at bullentin board in friendster.com.
In short, mutil-tasking.
Suddenly, a voice come from the window, that give a pause to my tasks. An old man, dark skin, average height, tall enough to look into my window. He speak in hokkien.
(my translation)
"Yo. Boss, want me to tell u yr fortune. I oso kno Wind-Water (Feng Shui). Very cheap onli. 5 dollar...."
I look at him for awhile. Trying to translate my mandarin into hokkien in my mind.
(my translation)
"Uncle, I don't believe in Wind-Water neither do I believe in fortune. I only believe in Jesus"
Then he add on
(my translation)
"Yo, Boss yr forehead very brite leh. Sure veri lucki one. Let me tel u more pls..."
I want back to the room, take a chinese BIBLE. I just can't take it anymore, I speak in mandarin to him.
"Uncle, your Wind-Water not accurate. I don't believe. I only believe in my BIBLE. BIBLE then accurate. You want? I can give you this BIBLE. You can take a look..."
He pause, he is stun, he look abit disappointed for not striking a deal. He walk away.
I wonder why not he just take that BIBLE and take at look first before he decide to go. I feel abit sad for he rejected the BIBLE. Mmm... Maybe I should invite him in just now, see what he have to say. Then share Christ to him. It might work this way.
Whatever it is, I hope the next Christian he wana strike a deal with. Will do a better job than me.
